June 2016 Newsletter

DEAR MEMBERS:

Thank you to Marta-Ann Schnable and Gregg Collins, who spoke on “Venus & Mars: The Role of Gender in Negotiations,” at our last luncheon. As expected, the discussion was not only entertaining, but also offered useful insight that will be helpful the next time we are in a mediation.

Our June CLE will be held at Keith Young’s Restaurant on Friday, June 17th. Our guest speaker will be Judge Scott Gardner, who will speak on “Jury Considerations”. You won’t want to miss Judge Gardner’s tips on effectively presenting your case to the trier of fact.

Lunch will start at Noon and the cost is $25; the CLE begins as 12:30 and is $15 for members. Please RSVP to Judy at judy@22ndjdcbar.org if you plan to attend so that we can ensure that we have enough handouts for everyone, the restaurant can have enough food and seating, and we can get started on time.

This will take place this Saturday, June 4, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mandeville Community Center, 3090 E. Causeway Approach. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Cynthia Bordonaro at cboronaro@slls.org or 985-893-0076.
