Thank you to Judge Raymond Childress, Darrell Sims (ADA) and Stephanie Wald (PDO) for their service to our veterans and for presenting our May CLE on Veteran’s Court.
Our CLE this month will be on June 16th at Dakota Restaurant our speaker will be District Attorney Warren Montgomery and his presentation will be on “The Metropolitan Report”. Lunch is served at 12 p.m. and the CLE will begin at 12:30 p.m. The cost of the lunch is $28 and the CLE is $15. Please RSVP Judy at judy@22ndjdcbar.org if you plan to attend.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The first Community Outreach Luncheon was on May 23, 2017. Miracle League was the non-profit organization we spotlighted. Thank you to all who attended the luncheon and a special thank you to those who made a donation. We were able to raise $1500 for Miracle League.
Those in attendance voted for our next Community Outreach organization to spotlight and it will be NAMI. More information will follow at to the date for that luncheon. If you know of a local non-profit that you would like us to spotlight, please attend our next luncheon where we will vote on our next non-profit to spotlight.
Remember to save the date of September 16th for our 8th Annual Court Chase Race/walk which benefits Youth Service Bureau.

WOMEN IN LAW
An an informal luncheon with Judge Nannette Brown from the US District Court for the Eastern District will be next Friday, June 9th, in the Judges Library on the 3rd floor of the court house. YOUNG LAWYERS
Thank you to Judge Scott Gardner and Sue Williams, Esq. for presenting at our last CLE.
Our next CLE will be held on Wednesday, June 14th from 12-1:30 p.m. at Abita Roasting Company, 1011 Village Walk, Covington. Judge Dawn Amacker will present a CLE on “Best Practices in Family Court”. Even if you do not practice Family Court, this is a great opportunity to learn about Court Procedures and talk with the Judge. The cost for the lunch and CLE is $30. If you have not submitted your information to our online Attorney Directory, you are missing out on potential new clients. We continue to get requests for referrals and this is where we send them, but you must fill out the online form. If you have any questions contact Judy at judy@22ndjdcbar.org.
- The directory can be searched by name or practice area.
- The directory not only allows members to find members, but also allows attorneys outside of our area to find your contact information, and allows the general public looking for an attorney based upon practice area.
- The bar association receives many calls looking for an attorney, if you are not on the list you will lose out on this opportunity for new clients.
The Basic Listing is included in your annual membership dues, but you must be a member in good standing and fill out the online form.
In addition to the Basic Listing, we are pleased to offer a Premium Listing at the low cost of $50 per year. The Premium Listing includes the same information as the Basic Listing, plus a link to your website, map to your office, and a photo.
