Thank you to our June CLE speaker, U.S. District Court Judge Jay Zainey who spoke on “Providing SOLACE to the Legal Community.”

Our July lunch/CLE is on Friday, July 17th at Keith Young’s Restaurant. Our speaker this month will be Ray Ladouceur , who will be speaking on “Estate Planning for the Modest Estate”. The lunch begins at noon, and the CLE itself will begin at 12:30. The lunch is $25 and the CLE, for members, is $15. Please rsvp judy@22ndjdcbar.org if you plan to attend.

We are teaming up with Men’s Wearhouse again this year during the “National Suit Drive”. Our local Men’s Wearhouse is accepting your gently used Men’s and Women’s professional attire, in turn, these items are donated to give others a chance to transform their life. Donations are accepted until July 31st. As a thank you, you will receive 50% off the regular price of retail items on your next purchase. This discount is given only if you take your suit to the local Men’s Wearhouse; if you would like us to donate the items for you, please contact Jessica Karr at jesskarr@gmail.com or Judy at judy@22ndjdcbar.org for items to be picked up.

FAMILY LAW

The next Family Law CLE is August 12th in the 22nd JDC Library at the Covington Courthouse. Our speaker will be Terri Campesta who will speak on “Parental Alienation”. The CLE begins at 9:00 a.m. The cost is $15 for members. Please RSVP Judy at judy@22ndjdcbar.org

The next Young Lawyer Luncheon/CLE is scheduled for August 5th at 12 p.m. in the Bar Association Library at the Covington Courthouse. This will be a free CLE sponsored by Andrew Hoffman who will speak on “Baby Boomer Divorce”. This includes a light lunch and is limited to the first 20 rsvp’s. The 2015 Court Chase 5K run/walk is set for Saturday, September 12th beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Covington Trailhead. The registration form and sponsor form are attached.
