FAMILY LAW

The Slidell Bar Association would like to invite everyone to attend a CLE it is hosting on October 5, 2017, at Noon at Nola Grill 1375 Gause Blvd, Slidell. The topic is “Legislative and Caselaw Updates”, presented by Ernie Anderson. The costs is $30 for non-members with lunch included. The CLE is approved for one hour with specialization credit pending. Please put this date on your calendars and plan to attend.

Some of you may have received a recent email from Leah Rosa of Assurance Recovery Monitoring, who is now providing substance abuse and recovery monitoring services. Judges Amacker and Devereux have asked me to convey to the Family Court attorneys that while there is clearly a need for these type of services in Family Court substance abuse cases, the Judges and Hearing Officers are aware that there are choices of local providers for the services and they cannot and do not promote or encourage the use of any particular provider.
