April 2016 Newsletter
DEAR MEMBERS:
We are thankful for your continued support and renewed participation in our monthly luncheons and section committees. We are thrilled to receive such positive feedback from our first quarter. We look forward to continue working with you to provide an association that is responsive to your practice.
Thank you to Robin DeLeo and Heather Alexis, who spoke on “Bankruptcy 101 from the Creditor and Debtor Perspective.” Their presentation was thorough and informative for those of us who run into the occasional bankruptcy issue and need guidance.
Our April CLE will be held at Keith Young’s Restaurant on Friday, April 15th. Our guest speaker will be Alison Bondurant, who will speak on Special Issues for Estate Law. Her presentation will offer thoughtful tips for those of us who receive inquiries from friends and family and identify the critical issues that require specialization. It is sure to be helpful.
Lunch will start at Noon and the cost is $25; the CLE begins as 12:30 and is $15 for members. Please RSVP to Judy at judy@22ndjdcbar.org if you plan to attend so that we can ensure that we have enough handouts for everyone, the restaurant can have enough food and seating, and we can get started on time.

DONATIONS FOR FLOOD VICTIMS
The recent flooding is widespread and has affected numerous members of our local bar and those working in the Justice Center. The 22nd JDC Bar Association is now accepting donations to help those impacted by the devastation. Several local law firms are conducting a food, clothing and fundraising drive within their offices, please consider donating anything you can to the victims of this disaster. We will keep you informed as to the need as we are contacted by those in need.
If you are able to help, please send donations payable to the 22nd JDC Bar Association (and note in the memo that it is for flood victims):
