December 2020 Newsletter
DEAR MEMBERS:
The Bar Association will host a Christmas Social on Thursday, December 10th from 6-9 p.m. at the Seiler Bar in lieu of our usual Christmas Party. Due to the COVID restrictions, only members will be allowed to attend this year. No guests will be admitted. Social distancing will be observed and masks will be required to enter. The Bar Association will be providing appetizers and a limited number of adult beverages as we wish 2020 a not so fond farewell. We look forward to seeing you on December 10th.
Personal to note to our members:
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to serve as your 2020 Bar President. This year was certainly challenging and we tried to do our best with virtual CLE offerings and getting out important messages from our Judges and Clerk of Court with the ever changing court directives as a result of COVID. I am proud of the work we did with our Feeding our Local Heroes call to action. I want to thank Roy Burns, III, current Vice-President and in-coming President, and Bailey Morse, current Treasurer and in-coming Vice-President, for all of their help with the many tasks that came with being President this year. Thank you also to all the sub-committee chairs for all of your work! Finally, thank you to Judy Walz, Executive Director of the 22nd JDC Bar Association, for all of her often thankless work for the Bar Association, organizing and communicating with our members. It truly has been a pleasure working with all of you. I wish all of you a healthy and successful 2021.
Special thank you to Chief Judge Dawn Amacker for her timely communication to the Bar regarding court notices. Thank you to all of the Judges and the Clerk of Court for all of their efforts during this year to keep our members updated.
Thanks,
Rachael P. Catalanotto
President
