SHEILA H. WILLIS is a partner in the New Orleans law firm of Morris, Lee, Bayle & Willis, LLC, where she practices Adoptions and Family Law. Ms. Willis specializes in adoption law, including interstate compact placements, and Family Law litigation. She received her J.D. from Loyola University College of Law in 2012.
Ms. Willis lectures frequently on adoption law, and has presented adoption issues to law school students at Loyola Law School, the Tangipahoa Parish Family Court attorneys and judges, the LSU Family Law seminar, and the Louisiana State Bar Association CLE in Family Law. Ms. Willis was selected by the University of New Orleans Press to be published in the Voices Rising: Stories from the Katrina Narrative Project. The book was launched at the Tennessee Williams Festival in March 2008. Ms. Willis is the author of the Adoption Chapter for the Louisiana Civil Practice Forms. Ms. Willis served on a panel for Empowering Women Financially, a program designed by women for women.
Ms. Willis is Board Certified by the LSBA as a Family Law Specialist. Ms. Willis is a Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, a member of the 22nd JDC Bar Association, and Louisiana Bar Association. She is a family law mediator, a member of the NOLA Collaborative Divorce, and was a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
