February 2015 Newsletter
DEAR MEMBERS:
Thanks to the many members who attended and made our January CLE successful. We enjoyed excellent attendance for the presentation from John Lindner and Jay Dixon on Restriction of Services in our Public Defender program.
Our February lunch and CLE is on Friday, February 20th at Keith Young’s Restaurant. Our speaker this month will be Jeffrey D. Schoen, from Jones Fussell, LLP, who will be speaking on ” Regulatory Law on the Local Level.” Jeff has shared some of his thoughts with me, and I am looking forward to an interesting and timely presentation.
There were not many extra seats last month, and I am expecting a healthy turnout again this month to listen to Jeff. If you want to be assured of a seat at the table, please rsvp judy@22ndjdcbar.org. Our CLE lunch begins at noon, and Keith generally starts serving the meal around 12:15. The CLE itself will begin at 12:30.
I am open to any ideas for CLE programs, and if you have any thoughts on timely or creative topics or speakers, please let me know. I can be reached directly at alex@plalaw.com
Best regards,
Alex Peragine, President
