8:45am – Noon

Details:

Parents with 6-10 year-olds should arrive and be inside the Justice Center by 8:45am. Your day will include, among other things, a courtroom visit, Q&A with Judge(s), a tour of the KidSense Room, and Kid-Friendly mock-trial.

Parents with 11-18 year olds need to be inside the Justice Center at 8:00 am to observe traffic court, visit one of the courtrooms and the Judge(s), and tour secured behind – the – scenes areas.

Upon arrival, please meet under the staircase on the 1st floor. Look for the pelican statue! Remember that everyone participating (even the youth) should dress in a “court-appropriate” manner- no shorts, torn pants, or sloppy attire. It does stay cool in the building, so layers or a light jacket will be helpful.

While purses and backpacks are allowed, please monitor the kid’s electronics. Use of phones, iPads, earbuds, etc. are not allowed during this visit.

REMEMBER – ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY YOU THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE MORNING.

We will wrap up with lunch and the day will be completed at noon.
