I plan to host quarterly Family Law CLE’s, so watch for the notices sent out with further information.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the upcoming All Day Family Law CLE which will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, at the Southern Hotel. Watch for the registration forms to be sent out soon.

WOMEN IN LAW

Please join the Women in Law section for a CLE with Judge Dawn Amacker on April 4th at 9:00 a.m. at the Coatney Conference Center in the Northshore Community Foundation building, 807 N. Columbia Street, Covington. The cost is $30 for the CLE and light breakfast.

Our section is committed to collaborating and learning from the many female leaders in our community. Judge Amacker will discuss “Tips on Practicing Professionalism from the Bench.” We will also use this as an opportunity to network and plan additional events for 2018. I am honored to be leading this section again and I look forward to seeing everyone on April 4th.

Residential transactional work on behalf of local lenders comprises most of the work load with periodic litigation involving real estate and collection matters. The preferred candidate will have at least three years legal experience including title examinations and real estate closings, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a high degree of self-motivation and attention to detail. We value a positive attitude, cooperative spirit, and timeliness in meeting the needs of our clientele. Salary commensurate with experience. The Bar Association receives many calls asking for an Attorney referral. We direct them to our website and let them choose one based on our on-line directory. If you have not submitted your information to our Attorney Directory, you are missing out on potential new clients. But you must fill out the online form. If you have any questions contact Judy at judy@22ndjdcbar.org.

• The directory can be searched by name or practice area.
• The directory not only allows members to find members, but also allows attorneys outside of our area to find your contact information, and allows the general public looking for an attorney based upon practice area.
• The bar association receives many calls looking for an attorney, if you are not on the list you will lose out on this opportunity for new clients.

*The Basic Listing is included in your annual membership dues, but you must be a member in good standing and fill out the online form.
