This presentation will include discussion of the following: appealability of a judgment; abandonment of an appeal; motions filed in the appellate court; contents of the briefs; oral argument; and assignment to three judge panel, five judge panel or en banc.

Program Title: “Internet Crimes Against Children”
This presentation examines the growing risks children face in the digital world, focusing on how unsupervised internet access exposes them to exploitation and harm. Participants will learn how online predators use technology to groom, manipulate, and victimize children, gaining insight into the tactics and platforms commonly used. The course also explores the role of electronic forensic examinations, demonstrating what information can be recovered from devices and how that evidence supports investigations and protects vulnerable youth.

Madisonville, La boutique litigation firm is looking for an experienced litigation attorney to join our team working alongside our attorneys on active matters, with the opportunity to build their own book of business. The hiring group’s primary practice area is eminent domain, commercial litigation, and other general civil litigation.
We are looking for attorneys with 4+ years of civil litigation experience who are ready to take depositions, argue motions, and manage a case from filing to resolution. Prior trial, especially jury trial, experience is a plus, but is not necessary.
This is an in-office, not a remote or hybrid, position. We believe working alongside each other day to day is part of what makes our team strong.
