Many thanks to Brian Brown for closing out our 2026 Lunchtime CLE series on October 16. His presentation on Internet Crimes Against Children tackled a difficult and uncomfortable topic, yet it proved valuable in helping us sharpen our awareness. Brian reminded us how easily certain dangers can unfold right under our noses —
even when we think we are being vigilant.

Our 2025 year end survey brought in a tremendous number of responses, and we took them seriously. Because of your feedback, we welcomed many of the speakers you requested and expanded our programming in the areas you highlighted. Additionally, you told us you wanted: Criminal Law to be included at the All Day, more women at the podium and more content on AI and emerging technology.

We made it happen!

The 2026 surveys have been available at recent lunchtime CLEs and will be offered again at the November 13 All Day. Not attending? Email reina@22ndjdcbar.org and she’ll send the survey straight to your inbox!

In the meantime, please know that we will always do our best to accommodate your wishes. Although we cannot fulfill every request, each one is heard, considered, and evaluated with care. When limitations arise, they come from real considerations that help us serve our entire community well. Some decisions require balancing competing needs, but our commitment to the Association remains constant, and we make thoughtful choices for the good of our membership as a whole.
