Thank You!

A very big thank you to Vicki Olson, Kathryn Edwards, and Steven Slayton for the engaging and interactive CLE on September 18th. Their practical guidance on filing an appeal in the First Circuit was not only insightful but exceptionally helpful for the attorneys who handle appellate matters. We are grateful for their willingness to stay afterward to field additional questions and expand on the information. Their generosity, expertise, and commitment to supporting our legal community made this session outstanding!

Last 2026 Luncheon CLE

A note about our final 2026 Lunchtime CLE, to be held on October 16 at ZEA. This presentation tackles a difficult but critically important subject — one that touches our work as professionals and our lives as parents, caregivers, and community members. By strengthening our understanding of how children are targeted and how technology is misused, we strengthen our ability to protect them. It’s a heavy topic, but an essential one. Together, we can be stronger in fighting the bad actors who prey on the vulnerable. We hope you will join us. Registration below.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Associate Attorney – Daigle Fisse & Kessenich
Litigation & Transactional Practice Group

Madisonville, La boutique litigation firm is looking for an experienced litigation attorney to join our team working alongside our attorneys on active matters, with the opportunity to build their own book of business. The hiring group’s primary practice area is eminent domain, commercial litigation, and other general civil litigation.

We are looking for attorneys with 4+ years of civil litigation experience who are ready to take depositions, argue motions, and manage a case from filing to resolution. Prior trial, especially jury trial, experience is a plus, but is not necessary.

This is an in-office, not a remote or hybrid, position. We believe working alongside each other day to day is part of what makes our team strong. However, we recognize the importance of work-life balance so we work flexibly when necessary. We offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience, standard benefits (health, dental, 401k w/ match, etc.), and a supportive firm culture.
