If you missed our June CLE, you missed one heck of an informative and dynamic speaker! A very a sincere thank you to Dr. Angela White-Bazile of the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program for her presentation on the importance of self-care in both our professional and personal lives.

July brings much activity and travel into all of our lives. Therefore, due to conflicts with speaker arrangements, we will not host our monthly luncheon and presentation on July 15th.

We have, however, partnered with the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the 22nd Judicial District Court and to bring you a Free CLE on August 2nd at the St. Tammany Parish Justice Center. We look forward to welcoming the Hon. Greg G. Guidry (U.S. District Court – EDLA), Hon. William Knight (Ret., 22nd JDC) and Hon. William H. Burris (22nd JDC) for this moderated discussion on state and federal rules of procedure. You will find additional information about the program and registration details below.

State versus Federal Rules of Civil Procedure – Similarities and Differences

Please join the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the 22nd JDC Bar Association and the 22nd Judicial District Court as they welcome the Hon. Greg G. Guidry (U.S. District Court – EDLA), Hon. William Knight (retired from the 22nd JDC), and Hon. William H. Burris (22nd JDC) for an in-depth discussion on August 2, 2022 at 9am about the similarities and differences in the state and federal rules of civil procedure – distinctions with significance. Christine M. Calogero, New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association Board member, and Bailey D. Morse, President of the 22nd JDC Bar Association, will moderate a discussion geared for practitioners that practice in both federal and state courts who must be familiar with the nuances among the ever-changing rules governing federal and state practice and procedure.
